'Understanding" - A new Poem today

This is a new poem of mine that I wrote yesterday and with a little inspiration from Marilyn mansons "Get your Gun" playing in the background I came up with this. It is better if read with a beat (da da dadadada). give it a try if not please enjoy my latest piece.

Understanding

I know you look at me
With eyes that cannot see
*
I hear the riotous song
And know it won’t be long
*
I choke myself to sleep
You soul I will not reap
*
I am the one you fear
But please don’t shed a tear
*
I will not end youfast
Your suffering it will last
*
I kill therefore I am
A wolf, not a Lamb!
*
I am the sword you wield
As you cower behind your shield
*
I helped you tame this world
So you may walk unfurled
*
I now have a purpose you see
Because you are really me!

REMEMBER THEM! - A Poem for all our Fallen soldiers

This is a poem for all soldiers but written for the Aussie diggers that have fought for my freedom for over 200 years and australia day is coming up so please if you are an aussie anywhere in teh world spare these men amd women a minute of you day to remember them!

Remember Them
The road to get here was long and full of danger
With every step I was in the land of the stranger

Never did I shirk my duty or go along for the ride
I wore my uniform with purpose, love and pride

It was during this service soldiers died by my hand
An enemy who would seek, to usurp my homeland.

I travelled far for my country my people my flag
And not once have I ever thought reason to brag

To see what my forefathers achieved for my life
Was reason enough to train toil and ease strife

In countries which the language I do not know
I fight an often unseen and unyielding foe

It is with pride I travelled so far and wide
To ensure the flag would fly by my side

In many theatres of war I have discharged my gun
And the comrades I have made are my only fun

I travel now on two wheels of spokes and steel
But nothing will ever destroy the pride I feel

So on this most special of days don’t fret for me
Think of the soldiers that died to ensure you stay free!

"Beware the Smile" - New poem

"Beware the Smile!"
As you go about your daily routine
And make your way through life,
Do you feel as if you have been seen?
Or are you just a shadow of dark strife

Do they see you for who you really are?
Or do you hide the facts from all who pass
So they can only see your features from afar
Because you believe yourself below their class

I hold my head up high and walk with stride
No-one knows the true me as I walk past
The persona I try so very hard to hide
The one that would make them run so fast

The smile I flash is my weapon of choice
The only thing that gets the guard down
And I slit their throats before they can voice
Shhh it’s all better now, no need at all to frown

You see it’s not what you see that causes the pain
It’s the unguided thought that I am someone of trust
Your first impressions were of fear and were right again
Be guided by your instincts and not, attraction or lust

You now lay in the arms of the personification of fear
And there was hope for you if only for the smallest while
But you made eye contact and let me get near
Because the darkness lives behind the cover of a smile
